Here is a few pictures of mine. Still work in progress. Paint job, and top yet. Just got my Diamond A" engine back from Schwalm's Model A engine builders. Bill Stipe cam, Counter balanced crank, Inserts, Ross forged pistons. 001.JPG 002.JPG 008.JPG 054.JPG

  2. I definitely like the way yours came out. Excellent choice of engine components. If I knew a good engine rebuilder 40 years ago when put the Mercruiser engine in my Avatar I would still have the Model B in there. The B engine may go back in there at some time in the future. I have all of the parts.

Here's my beasty, "Foo". The engine has a touring cam, a single Stromberg 48 with adjustable jets on an ansen manifold , Thomas head, fs ignition. Loads of fun and driven as a daily machine on full registration.

This was at Byfield days cruise this summer. Ricky Laplant threw this together in three weeks. What a hot rod! 1474562582367.jpg

I totally agree about the SU carbs....had a 64 Panhead that had an S&S Super E. Swapped it out for an SU...easiest starting, instantly became a 1 kick bike hot or cold and never ran better.....great carb

    Here's a local 1914 T Speedster running a hi-compression head. Says he goes 65mph in it!

There are some killer engines in this. I got a crazy idea in my head this winter that wouldn't leave me alone so I had a couple side draft carbs from an old OT M/C.. I decided to make an intake and header for the banger and see how it would work. It runs great and the carbs really opened it up....as much as you can with the stock engine :) I am making some velocity stacks for it and they are going to be coming out of the side of the hood when its done. I know its far from a traditional for a carb choice, but they were free and when I tried to get some old Zenith side drafts from some early tractors, I was shocked at the cost of them. So this is what I did, If it does not belong, send me a note and I will delete with my apologies. I just felt like sharing :) IMG_5855.JPG IMG_5854.JPG
