Nothing new from me this week, so dipping into the computer for an oldie. This is colorized and painted from a black and white photo.

It's a 70 Superbee but you squashed and distorted the body.

    Hi.

I recently piked up the pen and started doing some sketches. Last weekend I did this, my first car related one. Also, my first in color. No, professional work in any way (paper, brushes and water colors I borrowed from my 3 year old son), but I'm pretty happy with it.

G'day. Drawn at a show last week, this mint Premier has been Spoggie-fied..envisaging this as a probable 'first paint' on my own project.. unless I win big & can score paint! The lil' grey wheels are turning..

This fits right in with the new Charger and Challenger. Distorted? I don't think so.

This is a Polaroid I took 40 years ago
    It's fading fast
It was a 61 Impala that I sign wrote to look like an early circle racer
To me now it's says another time and another place
I have enchanced it, it is virtually white

Jimmy B, thank you for returning to the Art Show. It, indeed, has been too long since your last post. Welcome back/

    Hello,

My son was little but, was interested in moving all around our yard. At age 2, he had been using his homemade scooter that I had made from left over skateboard parts. (His first try on the scooter was a backwards flop into the bushes!)

We went to many motocross tracks in So Cal for bicycles and he was hooked by age 5 for something that moved under his own power. We got him a mini bicycle and that set me off on a design mode for a custom motocross bicycle using the latest technologies from the time period. (Super light weight Titanium solid wheel with a special flat surface on the rims for the center pull brake pads.) No discs at the time. A super lightweight motocross bicycle that he could pick up with one hand.

This drawing took the longest to draw of anything I have ever drawn. Using a bunch of drafting templates, I was able to create a cool looking motocross bicycle with some weird flame patterns. Not a real bicycle, but, if only…

After all of the motocross bicycle track/races we went to watch, my son had a question that needed an answer… “Why is the race only one lap around the track? If I have a mistake, there is no recovering. But, if I can have more laps to catch up, that would be fun…” We never went to anymore tracks after that question. We never got any justifiable answers from the track/bicycle association officials besides a “…that is the way it is… (to quote the Bruce Hornsby lyrics)”
