Looks like someone's project that fell by the wayside. I bet its floor pans are solid as can be too!

 

It's in a salvage yard (that actually specializes in '57 Fords, which is why I was there)..sure needs to be saved. Not sure I ever looked at the driver's side though.

After brother and I enjoyed a visit at the Springfield, Missouri Swapmeet, he went home via westbound Route 66. I went home via eastbound Route 66. Here I am in front of an old Ford dealership in Conway, Missouri.

 

wait! i think i remember this from school: two brothers leave, springfield mo on rte 66. one heads west with a 57 chevy pickup traveling 68 mph, the other going east at a rate of 63 mph in his 48 chevy pickup. who stops for coffee first?.........or something like that.....

When I built that hitch my darling wife commented that it looked dangerous. I blew her off. Later that first evening a came around the truck and laid myself out on the ground. I haven't confessed that to her. I usually don't have the receiver installed but I had my teardrop hooked up last week. It's good to hear from you Dave. I actually carry your business card in my wallet. I look forward to visiting with you at Louisville and up on the hill at the Frogfollies. Yesterday I read your post on breaking down on road trips.
