Actually the boss Ryan has said that it is 1965 and earlier.

  2. I agree with the 65 photo thing but where in this thread did Ryan say that? JW

Actually there is another option you, and others, have not considered. when you find an IMAGE on the HAMB, that someone took the time to find and post for others to enjoy, and said image makes your heart quiver and your pulse race YOU simply RIGHT CLICK SAVE ON YOUR OWN PERSONAL COMPUTING DEVICE. Then YOU can google the crap out of it and find all the minutia you want about said image at YOUR LEISURE for your own personal enjoyment in the privacy of YOUR OWN HOME problem solved.

ps you might want to look to the other members of the terrible trio that has been doing the same thing (no info) before calling out others. At least we post multiple images in ONE POST not a separate post for each photo but I guess that doesn't bother your sensibilities..

  5. You read me wrong. I like all your post more than anyone else does. My question was if my post fits, or not, I wanted to know if the photo should have been taken before 1965. I'm not a computer person as you guys are. Thank You all, for the Great post! I can't wait to see them. If mine doesn't fit, it is OK. I just need to know. And thanks for your hard work. It really is appreciated. Sorry for the one post thing, As I don't have many photos in the old photo album. Or I just take one, if I see something I like. Keep all those great pictures a coming! Ron...

  7. My uncle opened a Pure Oil Station on King Street in Hampton in the early 50's and ran it for several years. Progress in the early 70's was it's demise.

  8. This isn't actually vintage but it is definitely rustic. It is the 'gas station' @ Cecilville California, in the Siskiyou forest near the Oregon border. This is REALLY Deliverance country, gas station is state-of-the-art compared to rest of the community. When you need to fill up, just sidle up to the tanker truck and git'er done.

    Sorry no idea.

Here is the quote nothing about the car:

Northern California circa 1927. "California State Automobile Association Official Mechanical, First Aid and Towing Service Station." Offering Emergency Road Service and Red Crown Gasoline. 6½x8½ inch glass negative originally from the Wyland Stanley collection of San Francisciana.

He dos not have to as he made the rules and the OP is often adamant about the rules . It is not pre 1965 . it is 1965 AND earlier. And so it makes it to be pre 1966.

Loudbang, wonder how old the little girl in the photo of the old store is now? If she is still alive?
    Much simpler times indeed.
