    Package tray is together. [IMG]
    And in.

The green should help with the glare on the rear window. The old car had a white package tray and was hard to see out of in the afternoon.

Got the spotlights working tonight, found some 12 volt light bulbs that work in the 112's reflectors. Spent half the night trying to make them light and finally dawned on me that the bulbs mount is in the wrong place. Blobbed on some solder and presto, light. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Tail pipes are mounted. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
Pulling the head pipes so I can weld up the flanges and I should have the exhaust done tonight!

Might be able to start hooking stuff up to fire it tomorrow.....

The engine is at top dead center, intake surface is clean, ready for intake. [IMG][IMG][IMG]
And it's got oil pressure. So far so good....

Got to hit the parts house after work tonight but I think it will make noise tonight. Found that I never got the carb gaskets so running it will have to wait till next weekend, but should be able to have it ready.....[IMG]

Yeah!! It's been a long time coming. Started to panic alittle yesterday cause the engine wouldn't turn over. But finally got it to go. Montana is pretty dry so I was surprised it was stuck alittle.

The engine is timed and tuned. Having problems with the old starter but it's running good. Valves were way off but not bad for a 61 year old engine. Now a drive shaft and a rearend.....[IMG]
And here is a before shot. [IMG]

New starter is on and what a difference that made! Ended up having to mess with the engine some more. The 265 has a mechanical lifter cam in it and I adjusted the lifters as a hydraulic. Oops. Runs a lot better loose. The power glide seems to work. So I just have to wait for my rearend to be set up and get a drive shaft ordered and the merc will mobil.

Burning the midnight oil tonight. Got the intake back off again, having problems getting the intake to seal and not leak water. Drained the oil and had about a gallon of water in it. Am I missing something with the 265's with the C-355 edelbrock intake? Got 265 gaskets but still leaking. [IMG][IMG]
