made a little more progress, got the shocks mounted up on some vintage honest charley shock mounts, also got the headlights mounted on some vintage moon stand i got from my dad, headlights are old chrome guides.

also loaded it up and brought it over to my buddy Matt at geardrive headers to build a set of headers for it, stay tuned for pics of those!

  9. Hey Titus, can you tell me about the spiral metal wire covers you have on your headlights please. As in do you know if that was around back in the good ol days. 40s era? I have a bunch of it from an old parts collection I bought. I'm going to use it on my car as well. I think it's cool stuff. Thanks car is looking killer. I love the chrome frontend.

Those headers remind me of the ones AMT gave with their old '32 five window kit! With out the dual outlet . Very cool!

  16. Those flared tips haven't been popular since you were a kid. lol.
Tasty pair of valve covers too. Very nice.
I'm starting to think this car will be the picture of American traditional hot rods when completed.

  17. That is turning into an absolute killer car. I am wondering what some King Bees would look like on it :)

Jeff, trying to start a new trend or decide which you like better for covers. :)

Ironically I saw a roadster pickup on a shoebox chassis, built in the late 50's near Ottawa Ontario, Canada,it was a feature car in Hot Rod( late 50's?) IIRC, it was over 20 yrs ago and I didn't have a camera. It was weird but very well proportioned, it was almost fully restored but I never saw or heard about it again.

Sometimes "ugly" doesn't deserve to have its perigee saved. (I had to look up perigee)

IMO it looks perfect... hotrods are "works in progress" & rarely remain unchanged over time.
This is a new chapter in the car's history... well done..
