hi all, bought a Australian delivered 55 4 door belair at the end of last year and plans are to turn it into drag car gasser. pretty much bought it as a roller and the floor was no good in it so i cut all the shit out and going to fabricate a whole new floor and fire wall. ive put new sils in and started on the roll cage first, then will build the floor around it. the car is also being converted from a 4 door to 2 door. here are some photos of progress so far cheers tom IMG_2624.JPG IMG_2625.JPG IMG_2626.JPG IMG_2874.JPG IMG_2876.JPG IMG_2885.JPG IMG_2911.JPG IMG_2917.JPG IMG_2918.JPG IMG_2919.JPG IMG_2938.JPG IMG_2939.JPG IMG_2940.JPG IMG_2941.JPG IMG_2943.JPG IMG_2979.JPG

Love the ambition and your project. What are the plans for a power plant?

427 Ls with a twin carb set up, I have the motor all built already which was going in a different car but plans changed so I'm going to use it, if not I would of built something more period correct, but still should be a lot of fun

Roll cage mounted to the body would not pass NHRA tech. It must be welded to the frame since it has a frame. If this is a street car and is just for looks.... Carry on.
