Is this article not getting any love?

I would have to say- that's the best looking '41 Ford I have seen.

thanks for sharing. I have as of last couple of years had a strong desire for a spot on 40's custom Ford. And this example is so right that it almost makes me tingle inside. I don't know anything else about this one than what I see in the pictures.

  4. Gorgeous car. If it had been in my family I'd be looking for it too.

Come to think of it, my father has a nice '41 convertible, bone stock... he's away for a couple of weeks... I have fresh sawzall blades and a key to his garage... hmmm.... :D

Another period classic. What's not to like. Hope this car shows up...I have to say that is a very unique club plaque hanging off the center rear...chop chop. Anybody know what CC the plaque represents? Just curious.

It does surprise me that cars of this level just disappear. Circumstance I suppose...

Thanks for helping us spread the word Ryan. A great custom. Very typical Ayala! I would love to see some color photos of this one surface. I'm sure it looked great with its custom mixed dark Purple paint!

Here's a recent photo of the different layers of paint on Gil Ayala's Thunderbird. As you can see, Gil painted the purple over a black base to achieve the dark effect!

  12. It's the Auto Butchers from East L.A. which was Gil Ayala's car club. They still exist today.

Thanks K13...I wonder if that fellows son or family member asked the fellows at the club if they might know anything about its whereabouts.
