  2. I think you need to follow more along the lines of a Lincoln zephyr top. That picture above is just not right. Makes the car look funny.

Much much easier if you have a coupe roof/trunk and trunk opening . Not hard if you start with a coupe, lots of work if you don't , ask me how I know lol!

I agree completely........ :) but I've not been able to find an affordable one, and am still looking.... really will need a trunk to start with.
so my photo editing skill are not so good, this is a cut and tape job I did.... looks better lowered alittle bit. last pic is my car.

    Photoshop proportions ruin the car.

The Photoshop is the easy part. The Weldershop is the hard part. And there is no way in hell I'd cut the sedan in your driveway into a coupe. Way too nice to use as "parts".

way too nice to cut? I think it's a perfect candidate.
I don't understand why you said "use a parts", I'd like to find a rusty barn/field car for parts (use the trunk/top etc...) to make a coupe. I will sell mine to you if ya wanna save it :)

thanks for all reply's, I've had this car a couple years and can't decide what direction to go with it.

  14. My body man made one from a 46 short top coupe..used 41 front sheetmetal on it. Wish I had photos of it. Top flowed like it came that way. Beautiful car.

Squablow. I really like that.... stretching the door makes side window look better.

Donno X2. Seeing the photoshop pictures lead me to believe there was a reason Henry didn't build a 46 three window.

Hmm...I agree that it would be an absolute ton of work to make that into a 3w. I would begin to question why a 3w is "better" than any other number...
Keep it a Tudor and chop it? Lop the roof off and Carson-top it?
The Dodge and Plymouth business coupes of the era were 3-windows with very long trunks. Maybe they could provide good reference? And it will absolutely need a chop if you shorten the roof...
Here are a couple quick photoshops...last one uses 2 Tudor roof skins. Unless I had a 3D model of thing in front of me, I couldn't tell ya if any of these are actually physically possible.
