Most (not all) of my 2 doors are for ME to enjoy, the 4 doors are so that i can take more people out for a ride so they can ENJOY ....

  2. I really like that upholstery! Looks great without that "street rod" look!

    An all around awesome car!

  4. It's all in how you look at it,Ron got a high dollar street rod that was dated and needed some TLC but that's what he wanted and he is already pulling it apart for some paint work.

I traded a car that I bought strictly out of friendship that you all know wasn't my style and got into a old school semi traditional style that suits my idea of a hot rod and not only that it fits my moniker to a T- HOTRODPRIMER.

That is an extremely clean little car. I too would like to see fenders on it someday but the builder did a very nice job it. It's even in primer which is a bonus. ;)
Like the safety locks on the rear doors too. Simple and functional.
You'll have a blast with it once you work out the seating issue.

I like it as good if not better and hopefully the compensation for the difference will make this one a little easier to live with;)

  9. Jeez Danny.... Ya traded cars JUST to have a topic for a new thread? ;)

  10. Yeah, but the only reason I did is to give you yet another opportunity to complain about my posting. HRP

That car is a beaut! I love it. We don't need no stinkin' fenders. Maybe some shiny paint, and I'd probably put something on the door inner panels cause I'm assuming they get a bit hot to the touch on a hot summer day. But that is a sweet ride. Enjoy it!

That just looks like a hot rod that you could load friends up and go to the drags for an afternoon...

Congrats Danny, very clean looking. I'm sure you'll have a great time driving the wheels off of it.

    Fenders?
Nah, not on this one. That car is just too cool as it is. If it were mine I'd want to some black pleated door panels, and a Mexican blanket over the seats.
Oh hell, who am I kidding . . . I'd be too busy driving the snot out of it to do anything.
You landed a good one HRP - consider it the good karma earned by taking the red car off of your buddies hands in his time of need.

Anyone who complains about Danny posting is just too uptight.
If I enjoy anyone's threads or posts it's HRP.
Danny has great taste in cars and this new 4 door is right up his alley.
I'm jealous, I also love 4 door deuces.

Looks just right sans fenders IMO, but that's your call HRP. I'm generally a 2dr guy, but a long term affair with that more door would be an easy exception. One of the best rendered 4drs I've seen, maybe ever. Ya done good, real good, HRP!

Nice Ride! I'd upholster the door panels, but I'm an old custom guy. I just can't get it out of my system...

  29. When I read you had traded the Street Rod for a project, I was seeing a pile of parts, but boy was I surprised.
    Like everyone else, I'm impressed.

I'm only 5,7, so that would look much better in my garage, and save you the effort of having to change it.....:D
