1964 dated M/T's on my Falcon, have a set of 4, but I only run them on the front, not wide enough for the M&H rears.

  8. LOL I think that in this age of digital cameras and smart phones everyone forgets that owning a camera and money to buy and develop film was a luxury for most of us. I never owned a camera until 1980 a used 110 that I paid 3 bucks for at a pawn shop.

If there's one car born to wear em this has to be it. Bill Thomas' incredible Cheetah (courtesy of a google image search):

A history of this insane racing weapon, just to be sure nobody thinks it's O/T, shows it began in 1963 and ended mid year 1965.

  17. My old 59 El Camino, I miss this car.......

I forget exact which was which, but two wheels were E-T's and two were Mark II, if my memory is right. Both were American knock-offs. 15x7 rear and 15x6 front. These were 1-piece alum, and likely late 60's era production. Straight spokes, not the curved spoke non-traditional type.

A beautiful '65 Le Mans convertible in Blue Charcoal with 14X6" Hurst wheels that first became available in '65. Hurst wheel production ended in '69 due to poor sales, they were pretty expensive for their time at about $75 apiece.

  20. When did raised white letter tires come out? Just asking.
We already know when fake spindle mounts come out.
Hope this post survives the axe, Part II

White letters like the Firestone Wide ovals and the Goodyear polyglass tires came out on Camaros and Mustangs in 69 for sure and maybe some 68's . Don't recall them before that. Red lines I recall before that. Larry

These old 16x10 magnesium Americans got spiffed up and found a home on my Austin. Wish I could afford a matching pair of fronts but they have soared way out of my price range.
