The red coupe is Eddie Sanzo's 33. It ran like this at Indy in 66.

Seems like ’33 Willys coupes were found on every street in California during the 60’s, and most became Gassers! Here’s the Warren-Miller-Warren ’33.

Ron Rinauro’s ’33 Willys A/GS ran often at Fremont. Like his famed “Blown Hell” ’55 Chevy, a Ted Gotelli built blown engine provided power.

K.S. “Tiger” Pittman found match race bookings easily available, and moved his operations east. KS joined the S&S Racing Team, from Falls Church, VA while running this ’33 Willys, blown 480 CID Chrysler powered.

It's true, the 'glass front fits '33 to '36 models.

    Bad decisions make good stories.

Bob “Bones” Balough gained a reputation as an accomplished driver of numerous blown Gassers. The Bones-Dubach-Pisano ’33 Willys was one of Bones’ best efforts. The late Joe Pisano, founder of Venolia Pistons, was a partner in the 392 Chrysler powered A/GS car.

Bones is half a length behind Junior Thompson’s Austin in this A/GS face-off. Arrid background says this could be Riverside, or Carlsbad tracks.

i need a bit of help with my 1933 coupe window glass:

I'm starting my build and I'm looking at the garnish and also the metal around the rear window and small windows. I'm not exactly sure how the glass mounts to the body. I'm guessing the garnish screws to wood around the window frame which then hold the glass in place?

  17. Yes, wood goes around all three window openings and the glass is glued to the flange on the body around the openings (black gooey thick stuff from auto glass place) then the garnish moldings screw to the wood to hold it in place from the inside. I glued black stiff felt to the garnish moldings so it isn't metal to glass

How about the front door, is there any wood under the bottom portion of the garnish molding?

Yes on top of the inner door panel is four threaded inserts and these wood pieces attach. There's obviously a left and right side that follows the front curve of the moldings

I wonder how difficult it is to find a pair of stock coupe truck hinges.

Saw this on Craigslist and thought I'd post it. Very oddly listed, I wonder if this is a steel body? Seems like a bargain price if it is. Maybe someone here can scoop it up and get a great deal. Not mine, no connection to it, just stumbled on it randomly.
