Folks Of Interest Prayers needed for fellow HAMB'r Zapato

One of our fellow hamb'rs Al Enriquez, AKA Zapato needs some prayers and positive thoughts. Anybody that knows Al knows what a genuinely nice guy he is. He has shared great amounts of his knowledge with me. Al has been in the hospital since Dec 18th. This is why he has not contacted anyone. He has Central nervous system lymphoma, with a tumor in the frontal lobe of his brain. He has had a rough go. He was in the ICU intubated for awhile, due to non stop seizures. He is now in the neuro unit. He is currently undergoing radiation to the tumor in his brain. They had to stop doing chemotherapy due to the amount of fluid he had to have for the chemo. He wasn't able to clear the fluid well enough, due to the edema or swelling in the brain.
Al and his wife live just a few houses down from me. I sure miss seeing him and being able to chat with him Denise his wife has set up a facebook page called Al's friends and family, if anyone is interested. Denise keeps this updated.

Ah shit! I hate to hear this. I know Al from when he lived in Sandy, oregon. He had me over to his place to visit and he had some great cars. I still really like his Continental MK II....great guy! I hope he pulls out of this. Keep fighting, Al...

 

Sad news for sure. He freebied me some shoebox Ford parts about 15 years ago without even knowing me. Definitely a great guy.

I had meant to message him at Christmas, and didn't.
Al and I have swapped a few things, since I joined up in 09.
He even sent me the first thing he punched lovuers in, a Texas number plate.
We are both in the licence plate group, and I have some nice plates from him, including a 1913 Oregon plate.
I still wear the Good guys shirt he sent me.

I knew something was up, when he started talking to me about using Manuka honey.

Damit, this is some terrible news.
I'll say a few prayers for ya Al.
