I was thinking I might "weaponise" version two as an Alpine Renault rally car.

  4. Hey moose, thanks again for the photoshop. I did end up buying the car partially based on your vision. I do have one more request if you could please? The car was originally white and has been painted over with the red. I would like to see what this version would look like if I sanded back the roof to reveal the white underneath. Thank you.

Can some you help me with my color-idea for the A tudor?? I like to see it in a dark chocolate brown flat paint on the body and a nice fairly dark grey on chassis, axles, Wheels and all that stuff. The photos is just found on google, because i'm not that far on mine.

    Thanks in advance.

  6. Glad to hear that the Photoshopped image helped you make the decision to buy the car. Here it is with a white roof and for the heck of it, if you ever decide to do a total paint an all white version...... white roof.jpg white.jpg

  9. Thanks again, that white one does look good but she'll be staying at least mostly red for the time being.

This week’s Craigslist Custom is a 1951 Plymouth Concord. I found a straight ’51 Concord fastback in C-list for $1300 – cheap, quirky, and just waiting for some custom work, George Cerny style.

I lowered the car and chopped the top just enough to improve the flow by angling the fastback 2°. I lengthened the rear fenders to cover the odd intersection at the trunk. Door handles shaved, slight hood for the headlights. The side trim is borrowed from the ’55 Plymouth Belvedere with a dark blue beneath to break up the slab sides.

Beatyful!!! I really like that combination. The Grey chassis makes it a little different - almost every one goes with the original black chassis and only changing the body colour. Thanks

Is it possible to colour these old photos???

The text says: White canvas tonneau and Maroon finish.

Bumpers, rims, windshield and other details are Chrome.

I have another Craigslist custom this week. I found a 1940 Chevy Master Deluxe 2 door humpback sedan for $6000 or best offer. The body was very straight with original paint.
So, what to do with that hump? 40 Chevy MD 00.jpg
As Marty Feldman said, “What hump?”

I just happened to have a 1940 Ford Tudor Deluxe sedan waiting in the digital garage and merged the two. Threw in a little LaSalle trim and grille and Voilà: a 1940 Double Deluxe.

image.jpg Hey Moose, could you give a rendition as to what my Roadster would look like with full Moon Caps with still keeping the white walls as well?

    Thanks Moose!

  20. Hey Moose , could you make a change on my COE you did ? The dodge fenders are giving me a bunch of crap and may pull them off and go to something different. I have these 40 and might try them if they look ok . Would still use the same paint scheme as the cab and sleeper are already painted . I would keep the new rear fender red to match the front without white behind it . The bed top is about 7" above the tie down . Also I will bring down the front of the fender 5" and do a running board forward . Thanks Blue

    I agree.
Well, we're going to pop some Moons on this summer and buzz around.
Thanks again Moose for giving me a real look before I make the move.
