I don't remember it being at that show, but there were several other well known customs there.

Now that is a bitchin' car. The 8 lug wheels even look custom here.

How about this '49 Olds, built in Sweden by Magnus Karlsson?
Bumpers and side trim are '51 Packard, tail lights '53 Pontiac SW.
I love the shaved drip rail on the chopped top. (2 1/2" to 4")
    Under the hood is a 4 carb J2 371!

  15. That is so cool I had to look it up so I could see the front. Looks like there were 2 grill/bumper versions.
I like the Oldsmobile grill with bumper and guards better.

Although I wonder how it would look with the Oldsmobile grill and the smooth bumper....

  25. Okay, what's the story on this?
Looks like a 1950 Hudson convertible with a top added from something else...

I thought this was a real hardtop Hudson. Didn't think it was once a convertible. Now ya got me thinking.....

Spotlights have their place on some Kustoms. On a smooth body line kustom I can see not wanting to run them but on a kustom with a lot of chrome., I believe they have should run them. Kustoms are built to make them look Fancier, that is why you see Cadillac parts being used on kustoms I'm a huge fan of spot lights so its kind a hard to explain why. Its a sickness that I don't want to take the cure.....

  28. On second thought I think it is a hardtop. What threw me off was the removal of the trim on the A-pillars and across the front of the roof.

Without it the windshield header looks "taller". Because of this, it reminds me of the windshield header on a convertible.

  29. I don't know why but the paint job on this makes me feel like it is missing a giant set of bull horns on the hood and Buford T Justice behind the wheel.
