Nice Edit! I too noticed the press drifting like Sancho mentioned. I kept cringing thinking it's going to drift right off the desk and onto the floor. Thankfully that's not the case.
I've had a little situation with the Alliance discount with some vendors. When ordering on line, there's no place to post my Alliance membership: ergo, no discount. I'm not one to ask, "What about my discount?" Jerks used to call my shop, ask about a specific service...when they heard the price, invariably "Do I get a 'discount'?" Later on, I came to answer this with something like, "Oh, are you the Mayor?" Or some such... I feel like I've been...'discounted'.
You must not be shy anymore. I remember when you used to not allow your photo to be posted on the HAMB. Has a certain statute of limitations run out?
I've been thinking about forcing Alliance Vendors to supply a discount code. The problem is, many of them don't have the technology to do so. For those without discount codes, you have to call them and they verify your account with your username and shipping address. Still shy. That sucked to post. I took comfort in the speed of it all.
The CSI's can still slow down and enhance the video enough to use the facial recognition software. They're gonna getcha.
Glad I'm not the only one. I've had an Alliance Membership since they started, I think I've actually used it once (thanks Corky). I'll be buying some tires soon, I'll use it again. I've been logging in almost daily for 16+ years or so, I think I get my money's worth.
@Ryan's "Alliance Tags" video from January 2008: The process seems to be pretty much the same ... except I don't think he picked up lunch from WHATABURGER back then.
I saw that as well. I guess part of the Alliance Membership cost is for the drive thru at Whataburger? Can we get them to be a Supporting Vendor?

Cool I just picked up one of those presses with two different wheels (two font heights). I haven't tried it out yet.
If I change my HAMB name to IAMTHESOFAKINGIAMSOFAKINGWETODDDID would an Alliance membership cost more??
I just got my tag in the mail the other day and it looks great. Makes me wonder now if it was in that pile. Now If I just remembered to ask for the Alliance discount when I ordered something I might actually save a buck.
