Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 41hemi, Jan 27, 2017.

  1. Sad news. RIP Tommy, my thoughts are with your family and friends.

  2. Tommy's sons wanted to let everyone know. That they have been following this the thread and appreciate all of the kind words from everyone. They also wanted to post that there will be a Celebration of Tommy's Life on February 23 from 4:00 to 7:00 at Kalas Funeral Home in Edgewater Md.

  4. Didn't get a chance to personally meet him, but did chat with him a few times here on the HAMB, and saw him at Jalopyrama 2014 where we all sang 'Happy Birthday' to him. RIP Tommy.

I kinda figured we would be hearing something like this. Tommy you have been missed, and will continue to be.

Just don't mention anything about electric fans or alternators - Tommy didn't care for either.

  14. ^^^^Great shot, sawzall.^^^^ Not sure if Denise has been made aware of Tommy's passing as she doesn't spend as much time on here as in the past. Hopefully some of the folks who know her on Facebook or Instagram or other Social Media can let her know. Thanks for the picture, two legendary HAMBers right there in one shot.:)

  15. Thanks for the memory, sawzall.

Very sad to hear. My deepest heartfelt condolences to Tommy's family and many legions of friends.

One of my favorite highlights of the Jalopy Showdown each year was getting a big old hug from Tommy and one year, I'll never forget, I got an awesome ride around the track at speed in his fabulous roadster. He had me laughing and screaming for more. Fun memories for sure. The Jalopy Showdown just won't be the same.

Sawzall, thanks for posting that photo, it made me smile while being bummed out at the same time.
Trent, thanks for letting me know, appreciate ya thinking of me.

    Love and miss ya all!

  18. Thanks for checking in, Denise. Sad time for sure. We miss you on here.......................Don.

  19. ................Still plenty of room on the website for added condolences. If anyone coming to the celebration of life on Thursday, Feb. 23 from 4-7pm plans on driving their hot rod, weather forecast looks to be dry and in the 60's. Would be nice to see a big turnout...............................Don.

Damn, not much to say that hasn't already been said. Only knew him through the HAMB like so many others, will really miss him. Bet he's doing the roundy rounds slinging mud everywhere. Peace Tommy.

I am sorry I won't be able to make it to Tommy's memorial service but I am so sad to hear of his passing. What a fabulous member of the Mid-Atlantic hot rod community.

I'm really sad to hear that. May he rest in peace in that big old hot rod garage in the sky.
