These are a close up of the foot pedal arm. The roller is a earth magnet. I helps keeps hold of the pedal the pedal and is a nice smooth action by rolling on the pedal under acceleration. We all love acceleration to be smooth. Just a little side bar. Thank you guys for the kind words. This is probably my last build. I've been doing cars over 50 years. I will take some time and enjoys this one. Thanks again.

See not everything modern is bad LOL  That is a neat trick and good thinking to have a magnet for your roller.

Finely got the lower rookers done. I also built a air deflector for under the the front of the hood. I just need to buff out the hood and it will be going on soon. Check out the mechanism for opening and closing the air scoop. The arm has a earth magnet that will attach and detach when the hood open when the arm is down. When the hood is down the arm will open the scoop.

Just a little update. The dash is done. Tack is set. I'm showing the wire panel with out the cover and with the cover on. I tried to keep the dash as stock as possible. The chrome window frame is installed to see that is still fits well afer chroming. ready to install rear view mirror. Time to call it a day.

I think you are going to need a speedo that reads higher than the 100 mph in the current one LOL.

It's looking outstanding. If it was mine I wouldn't put A Gas on it and I am a gasser fanatic. The build is just so smooth and subtle that it takes a while to soak in all of the cool details.

Shit happens... Well I got the front fenders on. Grilles installed. Every thing looking good. A little hood adjustment and we are ready to go. Put the hood down pushed down on the hood release handle and POW. The hood nose came in contact with the body nose piece. DENT. What the hell. Then I noticed that I had removed the hood bumpers to clean them. Shit. Remove the grills, remove the fenders, fixe the dent, pull some color on it. Now time to clear. Also some of the fender washers that I mad. :(

Great work, sorry to hear about your mishap. I'd leave the A/Gas off or at least try a decal. (My 2 cents)

Stunning! Been off this forum for quite awhile, and got the update message that your '40 was done! It's a beautiful Willys, and I love everything you've done on it!
