On our way to the Grand National Roadster Show we hung it up for the night in the boarder town of Primm Nevada. At Whiskey Petes casino is the 34 Ford tudor that Bonnie and Clyde met there maker. Here a few picture of the carnage from the law wielding Browning automatic rifles. 2. There are various cars that folks claim to be the real Bonnie and Clyde death car. THAT is the real one.

Rusty, that's probably one of a couple dozen shot up '34 Fordors that toured all the car shows ... the real car is supposed to exist in horrible condition somewhere. Look at the crime scene photos, noting the Potter trunk on the real car. None of the "show cars" had one.

My brother and I saw the Bonnie & Clyde car in a casino on the way to the HAMB Drags one year. It had actual crime scene photos right next to it and we spent quite a while comparing bullet holes and the paint flakes around each hole. We saw the real car. Did you? ;)

I dont know but we spent over an hour looking at photos of the original car and the one that was sitting in front of us and it sure looked like all the holes were dead on(pun intended).

This car was in a Casino in Virginia City Nevada when I lived there (37 years ago). It was on the second floor of a very narrow building. I thought sure,,, someone just shot up a 34 as a gimmick. Until my wife and I compared the bullet holes with the newspaper clippings. So either someone knows how to exactly shoot the same holes or it was/is the car. The room was so narrow we could reach and touch if had wanted to.

  11. Most of the fake cars don't have the lower windshield edge torn up from a bullet. Bonnie's door got less damage because it was open during the shooting. The original has the trunk here.... BandC car.jpg

  19. People took a bunch of items when they hauled the car and bodies in. They were even trying to take body parts and bloody clothes. That is probably where the radiator cap went.

  20. Well, it WAS practically a new car when they shot the crap out of it and it has been mostly inside since.

Remember in the movie, they were driving in circles in a field in a 32 Hupmobile with the law shooting at them. They got away and got killed in the Ford later.

The car was used in freak shows. When you get up close you can see where it had been lettered and has now been sanded off so it has a bit more patina on it than it should. Im sure the greyhould was quite easy to steal.

  24. The cap was on after the shooting according to the original photo.

  25. If you look at the two bulges from bullets hitting the backside of the metal just in front of the passenger door, you can see those in the original photos, too. Those would be kinda hard to reproduce exactly.

  28. I saw that car years ago at the Imperial Place in Vegas . The also had Hitler's staff car among many others.

  29. Interest timing, as I've been studying American gangster history,, by watching old black n white movies on you tube.
Not sure how correct the history is portrayed, but it sure is neat to see all the old cars.

There's a museum down South, here in New Zealand, that is said to have, "the real car".
I never believed it to be true.
