Went to the original Big Boy,the doors was good but the car cruise was a little disappointing except for this rare OG Cobra
The Third day started at the Donut Derelicts ... late. Stopped to see Chip.... he wasn't there This car was genius !!

Ok sorry had to take an intermission in posting pictures, there is an In and Out a cross from the hotel and Scott decide we needed to visit one more time before heading back to Iowa in the morning, so here are some more pics
This little White Ford sedan was so cool and what a sleeper!

This morning we went to the Long Beach swap meet, stuff was pretty pricey. But to sum the weekend up, I think I have seen more rare and cool stuff in two days than I have in the previous 50 years of my life. several 4 cam fords, offy's, Arduns, deuces (plural) with Hemi's Ardums, and Riley ohv conversions

Your first trip to the land of fruits and nuts???

 

Hey HCH,
That photo brings back memories of the early 60's. We spent many days and years around that whole area having fun. Veteran's Stadium football glory days from HS, (That's me, #88)
The airport and Douglas Aircraft across the street, racing through through the two tunnels under the runway, LBCC just around the corner, and Oscar's drive in, down the way on Carson St. By the looks of it, the swap meet has cleaned up quite a bit, too. Glad you were able to see a lot of So Cal on your trip. Thanks for the whole trip, photo tour. Sounds and looks like you had a great time...despite the photobombing. ha!

I met Candy on the day she qualified for Medicare, the Woman simply doesn't age. She's the female version of Dorian Gray!
I am still impressed at how sincerely nice she is also! Oh and by the way, Thanks for all the great photos.
