  1. Ah, the site I was looking at left him out (you'd think they'd've added him in since they identified Panchos horse). Sheesh.

There is one in Sequoia and another In Yosemite. There may even be another in the Redwoods, not sure about that since I haven't been there.. I have driven through the other two which are the best known ones, but the Pioneer Cabin tree was really an interesting one.

That is the famous Del Coronado Hotel in San Diego where the movie takes place.

In the late '80's, I had the privilege to work with my dad, building props at the old TNN.Every fall, they would tape Hee-Haw.One day, dad said, hey sport, somebody wants to meet you. When I raised up rather fast, slightly dizzy, there stood this legend before me. Big smile, squinting eyes, hat, boots and all.Super nice guy to me.I never will forget it.

Sorry if too recent of story, just making relevant of previous topic. Delete if I'm out of line.

  7. Nope, don't delete - it ties into something vintage, and is cool as well.

:D Just a little trivia/history here.At the start of WW2,the Navy blimps had one or two 1892 Winchester lever guns in 44-40 cal for armament.By the end of WW2,they were carrying up to two to four depthcharges and a ball turret mounting two BMG .50 cal machine guns.Quite a difference from start to finish.
    Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

I am blown away by this wealth of knowledge. My favorite comics were Lash LaRue. Thanks for posting

Thanks Flathead Tommy. There were a number but not like Kurtis built.

We had Len Duncan test it. He said the cockpit was so big, put a handle on the hood panel next to the brake handle so you have something to hang onto when you aren't pulling the brake handle.
