    Hello
I am a hot rodder french.
In June 2015, I ordered from Russ Nomore, a Ford 1933 salt flats.
The rod arrived in France in July 2016.
My English is not good enough to tell you all my adventure. To make it simpler, here are the photos of the construction and the finished rod.
A big thank you to Carl and Donna Duke, I am a happy man!

I changed the rear tires too small, 600-650 / 17, by bigger ones 750/17. The look is much better.

Your English is fine Phil, and your selection of a builder for your hot rod was excellent. Is this your first hot rod? If so you are off to a good start for many years of fun, enjoy the car and maybe let us know about the car scene in France when you get time.

    Very slick hot rod!

  23. Good eye. Not many that would see the difference. Beautiful little coupe and those 17 inch wheels look so nice. I wonder if 17 inch will become the new 16 inch ?

    Thank you friends,
thank you for your compliments. For me, they are particularly pleasant because you are the cradle of hot rodding!
I also am very satisfied with the color. It is a color Chromatic "blue foxe" ref CH1 0832. On the other hand the whole lack a bit of brightness. I will add, this winter, numbers on the doors and one or two lettering. I also look for decal waterslide inspiration "salt flats". If you have addresses ..... Of course I will post pictures at the end of the works.
The original Ford wheels are not in very good condition. I wanted to buy new rims but Wheel Vintique no longer manufactures a 17 "spoke rim (4x17 for the front and 4.5x17 for the rear). Is there in the US a company that can restore original rims ?

17 inch Ford wire wheels are still pretty cheap here in the US, if you watch for them on eBay you should be able to buy a very clean original set to replace your rough older ones for a very reasonable price. That would be much cheaper and easier than restoring a rough set. Shipping them to France will be expensive but it may be worth it and I'm sure a local French hot rodder would love to have your old ones.

Nice hot rod Phil. Where in France do you live? I have come to LeMans for the past several years for the 24 hour race.
