Lol. I'm actually an elementary school music teacher. I'm on Christmas break so I am taking advantage of my time off and thrashing.

Great work Jerry. If you are interested in selling the pieces you cut out of your A posts please let me know. I think I could use them to fix my 50 year old botched chop.

I think Jerry went for a breather while contemplating the louver maneuver...

That's a good question.. when I first started experimenting with this style I used an air powered die grinder with a thin cut off wheel. I found that the electric one had a bit more muscle and cut the line fast and clean. At the same time its easier to really make a mistake. I do this usually at night when no one is around so I can concentrate without visitors. There is a little heat burn that still results but I hit the panel with a DA sander and some 80 grit and it cleans it up right away. I do the same thing to the back of the panel to knock down and remove the cut through burrs that result. I try to get the front side as clean as possible. It makes hand hammering the louvers easier and the bodywork easier in the end.

You do have a steady hand there...understood. Once your wheel hits the metal your committed...just like coloring don't go over the line...

Nice work, that jig you made gives a great shape on the louvers.
