Event Coverage Would there be any interest in a Wisconsin Hot Rod hundred?

Okay everyone the starting point for the cruise is Tomah. The rest of the details will be real soon.

164 miles to Tomah from home. That means i'm already 64 miles over

 

So May 20, 2017 starting at Tomah, WI.
That's only 12 hours for me.

Yes you do. I am thrashing now to get heat in the shop, so I can finish the Produce truck by then.

 

Not sure of your thoughts for an ending spot, but there is a nice park near the my shop in Pewaukee near the lake beach down town.

 

How does this sound for all the guys in the North and Western Chicago suburbs?

 

It's about 3 hours away for me. Got it on my calendar, we'll see what the weekend looks like when it gets closer.

Tomah is northwest of the state by lacrosse on the Wisconsin /Minnesota border. The parkis nice I spent a good part of youth there. And I know the village well enough we would need a permit for sure.

I hope your enjoying your new spot.

 

I'm in northern Illinois and it sounds good to me. I will try to get accommodations lined up for Friday night somewhere south of Castle Rock Lake, might have room for a few others to camp on the river. Now need to get the 59 Elco really road ready.

 

Tentative ending spot is NW of Tomah on the river I believe.

 

Cool, that is a part of WI that I haven't explored yet.

I'm from around Chicago and I'm planning on going. It's about 250 miles Four hours in a new car. Anyone wanna convoy up?

If you're going up 90 to 39, I could meet up with you around Cherry Valley. I'm in DeKalb, so I'd be taking the back roads up to there, then hopping on to 39 north.

Tomah is 245 miles from here, thats a good start to a 100 drive

 

Looks like 475 for us and any others coming up from STL.

 

14 mi.for me.....

 

...I'm glad this is a ways up there for me;...it's the same weekend as the Lil Hershey swapmeet in Belvidere;...be going there as I haven't missed it in over 40+ years.
...hope someone posts a thread on the trip tho.

 

About 160 miles from home for me, we will get a room and plan on making the cruise! Sounds like a good time to me. Gene

Getting closer to detailed release of info. Just hammering some catering people for better pricing. Also trying to get a block of rooms in Tomah. Check your t shirt size the holidays may have changed things...

I totally would but we are going up Friday. I need to be there early Saturday to help out and keep things moving so we can cruise.
