    Well that pretty damn slick.
I guess I have one of the shifters that put that one on the shelf.

  7. If Joe Hrudka (Mr Gasket) had of seen the merits of this monkey motion contraption He would not have relegated it to a shelf.

that's probably a good point. To be honest, even the V-gate seems like a solution in search of a problem, when you look at all the extra parts and complexity of the Bieber, you gotta wonder how much it costs to make, and if it would be prone to reliability issues in use. But that doesn't stop me from coveting one for even a second! . I have never had a Hurst Ram IV, so cant really comment on it.

From what I've read, there were issues with it staying mounted to the transmission. Didn't they have loc-tite back then? -rick

Based on the hacked up floor pans I've seen over the years there were more of them put out then they claim.
My first exposure to these was around 1970/71 from Petersens basic clutches and transmission book.

you gotta cut the shit out of most floor pans to fit a V-Gate or super shifter too.

Never had a V-gate but I wore out my first Craftsman jig saw putting in Hurst Syncro/Locs, Comp. Plus and Super shifters.

Ever put this in anything? I have one mounted on an M20 for my Studebaker. Someday I will get to drive the damn thing.
