Well my wife made Christmas shopping easy this year, she mentioned she wanted a older vehicle that could haul 6 drums of paint and look cool, and something that could be easy to work on.
Within a few days I found this 1935 Ford 1 ton out of North Carolina. Most of the body work is done, however it's sat outside for so long, that some of the body filler is starting to crack. Oh well I know a good paint supplier to get more mud from.!!
Just wanted to share with you guys, and I will post more pictures the further we go along in the build. 1483370434475.jpg 1483370462596.jpg 1483370490365.jpg

    Wow that thing is cool

  6. I believe you've got both of those covered. ;)

Cool-looking truck, for sure. And the sheet metal looks pretty solid. Anxious to see the end result.

That thing is a monster! Make sure you upgrade the brakes to handle the load and extra power (depending on your engine choice).

Its going to be super cool.

Let met get this right. You live in Distilling country, and want to build something that will haul 6 "drums of paint". Got it, carry on!

It looks like a cool delivery truck that you can write off on your taxes. Functional for work and cool advertising to boot.

I did not realize they built a monster like that. I have looked for a late 40,s early 50,s chevy one ton long body panel. Big enough to haul a trailer { car for me , horse for the wife! } and relive my early 70's vanning days and finish the back off for camping! going to be a great shop truck! Larry

  20. Nice ride! What has been done to the windshield area? It looks like the whole thing has been moved up about 4 inches and a panel added below it and a corresponding amount removed from above the windshield.

nice score for sure. I was wondering about the windshield too. Maybe it was raised due to a possibly blind spot with traffic lights otherwise?

Damn, didn't even notice the windshield before, that's weird alright.
Good thing you get a deal on paint, the rest of us would go broke just with material costs to paint that!
