50° here, rain expected in a few hours, active flash flood watch.

Weather forecast looks like I am in the shop for the next few days, nothing wrong with that!

    Enjoy and be Safe, J

Checking in for the month. Ended the year with a spin in the coupe. Almost 60 degrees here. Strange for Wyoming. There are occasional dry warmish days here all winter. Always good to "blow the stink off". Haha. @MrsBinger and I drove around all afternoon almost until dark.

Was it common back then to remove the front brake rods for a better aero effect? Happy New Year! Bob

If I do just a little every day in 2017 maybe there will be some progress made on things. Warming up things on the wood stove before priming. Bob DSCF6135.JPG

  16. Ha! wont do much good, the head is on the bench.
Had #4 hole down about 50psi at last check, found remnants of low flying bird on intake seat.
On another note, built some stalls for the horses to get out of rain.
But like kids, this morning, all covered in mud from rolling. This will keep Wife busy today.

    All the best, J

  18. Checking in on the first day of 2017...
Housework (nearly) done, has been two years and three months of wooden splinters in my fingers, brick dust in the eyes and insulation down my neck! Got the banks approval early december, so now we're on our budget- and mire important, our own time schedule! And now that christmas and new years' over, we've got some furnishing to do and moving boxes to unload, and then!... then I'm getting on that neglected G28T racer project, hoping to be able to race at Rømø beach 2nd weekend of september, see

  23. That was quick!
Got on one of the danish sales sites, as I opened my computer at work this morning- so after work I picked these aluminum housing shocks, supposedly original (they sat on his '28 tudor when purchased) and a gearbox for parts up: ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1483384075.976966.jpg

  26. Yeah Buddy,
My 8N gets used all the time, been raining here the last couple weeks.
I bet the former owner I could get it running in less than one afternoon after sitting for 10+ years.
He took the bet and said I could keep it, IF "I could drive it out of his property that same afternoon".
All I took was a handful of tools, gallon of gas and a battery. I drove it 3 miles on city streets to my house.

We have a low spot in one pasture, yes, mud up to the bottom of pan.
It drove out without a tow, I sure as hell was not walking out in that mud!!

    Happy New Year All! J

  29. okay....time to move the old 68-B....since relocating to her new place a year ago...she's just been awaiting.....should have asked Santa for a new sediment bowl assembly....we had to stop for a cleaning today....mostly due to my home made gasket from two years ago.....anyway....it's a little closer to the shop....just can't believe that old motor stills make a hummm like sound.....like I'm not done yet.....hummm.... Hey guys, I'm a newbie here. My neighbor asked me to help him out with his project. We have a model B with a cragar OHV, Burns intake, not sure about the cam, bore, crank, etc. Our plan is to put it in the Model A frame pictured. We have a 29 truck body and bed and all the parts to get it back together. My main question is the recommended trans and rear for the hopped up motor. And any mods that need to be made to the frame. This is my first project so I'm here to learn. Thanks in advance [IMG]
