I think I recognize the phaeton in some of your photos. I run a 170mph Datsun 240z at the Ohio Mile (ECTA) in my other life. That phaeton in sweet.

Is it blue ? I think I remember it... I really like those cars, and I even posted a picture of it ( I think) on Instagram. If you look really close, you can see the ECTA sticker on the windshield.

  6. great thread, great fabrication and craftsmanship.
Quick question, with regards to the tires, did you sand down the branding on the sidewall, looks less pronounced than my memory recalls (or most likely just me).
Won't be long, keep at it.
    Cheers,

And I love that you painted the firewall WHITE ( my personal favorite)

Yep, I'm the little blue 240z that goes 174mph, hoping to go 200mph if we can find another venue. I'm really gonna miss Wilmington-I love that town and what a great racing facility!

That's the one. great car! I'm really going to miss the Wilmington venue. I hope it stays in Ohio. They should be announcing the new location soon. Last I read, the two most promising possibilities were an undisclosed location in Ohio, and someplace way up in northern Michigan that I can't remember the name of.

  22. Started wiring the coupe last week, all the wires are routed and everything is just about hooked up. Waiting on some plugs and battery transfer studs then we should be able to fire it up!

Sure makes it easier to wire up the dash with it laying on a bench!

whats your wheelbase sitting at? looks awesome! im running with 104" and a 292 y block, but its at the engine builders at the moment, scared ive made it too short! haha have to sink the firewall like yours but maybe a bit further

  26. Yes it sure does!! I'm using water proof plugs on the dash wires so I can just unplug the dash from the car later on if I ever need to pull it out for some reason.

  27. Thank you!! It was a pleasure meeting you as well. Thank you for the kind words. Hope to see you guys again soon!

  28. Wheel base is stock model a wheel base so it's 103.5 inches! Yeah you'll have to turn the firewall around and cut into it a little bit to allow room for the bell housing!

so its stock wheel base.. does that mean you set your spring cross member back a little bit from the stock position to allow for the spring behind setup?
