The 38 Deluxe/39 Standard sheet metal is the winner in this one, at least to me. What a stunning job with a superb result.

Same here, the bead work on the hood is the thing that makes it. Bob

Very creative trucks that take an exceptional eye and mind to make the transitions. Great Thread.

  4. Anymore cool pictures?
I was wondering how the beads on the hood where done.

  5. I don't know anything about it, and I jacked the picture off the interwebs, but
this one really blows wind up my skirt. canton-hot-rod-and-custom-bike-show005.jpg

  6. I looked for a front clip when I built my 39 . 40/41 cabs are nice but 38/39 have a crank out windshield and with the cowl vent you've got a good redneck ac .

  7. I like the crank out windshield and cowl vent. They work good.
That picture is such a tease.
    Check out the suicide doors.
    Wonder what under the hood?

  8. canton-hot-rod-and-custom-bike-show059.jpg This is the only shot I could find of the engine.
    Not a very good picture

  9. I really like this thread. I've got a 39 and am not sure how to finish it out. The fenders I have are big truck.. So I guess I'm looking for whichever I find first at a price I like. I do like the barrel nose 38/39 but the car fronts are really classy looking.
Flatheadfever- keep us posted on your progress please.

  10. I'm afraid my progress will be slow. I'm away 7 months a year. I plan to work on the frame while I'm home in over Christmas.
Are there any other pictures of trucks like this?
Had a friend tell me there was a nice one in Ottawa ON years ago.

  11. Any more inspirational pictures?

    Anymore of these trucks?

image.jpg Posted this pic before. My buddy from Germany and I got this truck about 7 years ago at a Iowa swap meet

  16. Damn I like that. I picked up a 38 grill and a rough hood. It looks like it will fit the 47 cab with very little work.

I sure would like to find a set of side panels for mine.....the last owner cut the back off of them.
It dosen't look bad but i would prefer the whole side panel. If anyone knows where I can look, please tell me. A few on ebay, but too hagered for me to mess with.

The side panels were the very first parts I bought for this project, real nice ones that I stepped up for on "that auction site". Seller packed them real well. Grille came from a HAMB listing, and the hood and fenders came from another HAMB member that saw my want ad on the HAMB. Post an ad, they work well. Bob
