Here are a few pics of my recently found 40 coupe. Pretty much untouched since 74.

The toad is still around. It was for sale at Pomona Swap meet about 10 years ago and has been at the Hot Rod reunion Famoso since then. Looks all original not restored

The one on the right was from Pasadena. A beautiful deep orange with a 289 and a 4 speed. I first saw it in at the Tridents custom car show LA sports arena 1970 on display. I knew the guy that bought it in 1971 and cruised around on the streets

That was the "MIND BINDER" Rod & Custom cover car. My friend bought it from the original owner around 1970. It was supposed to be Lettered "Mind Bender" but the sign painter misspelled it.

I ended up doing all the lettering on this car when the new owner purchased its few years ago. It had a Jericho and it did awesome wheelstands. Its now Blown with Blairs Speed Shop on the doors..

  23. Radius wheel wells look useless to me if the tire isn't sticking out slightly.......which was WHY they got cut in the first place back then.

I agree with that and you are right my friend that it is useless to radius unless they're sticking out a little bit .

  29. I've posted pics of my car all over HAMB! Here it is again. Strictly a cartoon of a gasser, is my daily driver. Had it since I was in high school in the early 60s, had a dream of building it into a 60s style gasser. Finally got it on the road in this shape in 1995. In desperate need of a rebuild after 20 years!!
