Hot Rods DELETE This thread DELETE 1926 Dodge coupe build!

There is no way I can NOT follow this build! Not sure about the V8: I'm disguising a 300 Ford as a Speed Six.

 

Well Looky what the cat dragged in...

 

I loaded the coupe with a come a long and a couple of cuss words

 

This door will require alot of TLC

 

The body aint bad just dents and dings, rust is manageable!

 

The passenger side door is in great condition!

 

is it going to be driveable with the frame that low?

 

Ha Ha been there! Right about know is when I start thinking what have I gotten myself into for about a second, then the excitement of having a project in the garage overtakes all other thoughts! Good luck I will be following along. Hobo Jim

 

Little update...

Got the doors off, with a little fight! I beat the piss out of the hinge pins and then the door opened on its own and lo and behold the hinges were actually bolted to the pillars. The Dodge Bros had their shit together! The bolts came out with no problem!

 

Then I started cleaning the trunk and found this treasure!

 

Now that is cool and irreplaceable

 

Not only did Henry piss them off, he paid them off. They became quite wealthy in their own right.

You never know what you'll find or get with an old specimen. I bought a 1914 dodge chassis for a TROG build. Also winched and cussed it onto my trailer. Then the seller says, "here, don't forget the title".

I was going to bug you about an update, but then, my '27 still looks like my avatar!

 

Made in about the first week of June 1921. Those plates are available from Myers Early Dodge Parts. DB used VERY good steel for their bolts, they usually come out if some patience is used.
