    You and me both Maggie.
I grew up near there and that sure did not look familiar.
Let me rephrase that; I'm from that area, my wife claims that I never grew up.

  2. Actually, it's a newer photo. This one was taken in 1967 while the first one was taken in 1965.

And normally I don't pull images from eBay (too easy, usually watermarked, and too many duplicates) but I had to get this one in:
    kennywood park.jpg
Listing says Kennywood Park near Pittsburgh; did a search here and didn't see any other photos of this ride. Cool!

OK now we need to see some old Ford Vans that were made into campers.
Back in the 60's this is what many of us dreamed of owning.

I miss the days when you saw old trucks on the road still being used as trucks.
Ladder racks, stake beds, pulling a camp trailer (hint, hint Maggie).
Cars too, in the late 60's, there was an old guy did yard work around here that carried his mower in the trunk of his Model A coupe.

Yea, thats why I got rid of it, got a load of shit from all my redneck buddies. The only thing I liked about it was it had a 327 planted in it and I could get it hoppin enought to get the front wheels off the pavement sometimes. Sold it to some long haired stoner draft dodger type, waited til he blew the trans and bought back the 327 for $50.00. He then made a chicken coupe out of it and it lived happily ever after.

I am guessing that the roads are pretty much the same. The nomenclature changes with location. I'll throw in a vintage picture because that is what this thread is about. And I want to sell the car fir sale.jpg for sale 2.jpg

That'll get through tech. Hard to tell from my phone, is that a steady brace going to the grill shell? Needs something to keep it from swaying back and forth.
