I thought it would fit because there are only 14 center exhaust pipes going back instead of 16, 2 go down in order to get the angles even

  3. There isn't much not well thought out on that car. ;)

I never counted the pipes, if you hadn't told me I never would have known/noticed.

  6. Dont know how cool they are but there a little wild. These are the "custom" pipes on my 39 sedan. 20160612_175114.jpg 20160612_175124.jpg 20160612_175055.jpg The original outlets are just blocked off with plate. This was done sometime in the mid 60s when the engine swap was done.

  8. 3 1/2'' sidepipes I made up for the Chevy. They connect to the fenderwell headers, with a cutout plate to uncork 'em. IMG_20141126_113319159.jpg [IMG]

These were different in 1958, Hedman style outside headers on a full fendered A roadster.
The Nash water pump allowed 265 Chev install without firewall mods. LaSalle box modified for Ford driveshaft.

This was a long time ago, but the Nash pump was driven off of the generator. I made a ball bearing stub shaft with a small pulley. the drive ratio was about 2/1. It was manifolded into the front of the block. Cooling was good with a fork lift radiator in the 29 grill shell. The car was later sold, 1959 and finished as a resto rod and still resides in St. louis.
The engine was sold separately. Sorry to hijack the header post.

    Hello,

Scotty’s Muffler Service roadster from San Bernardino is a tremendous example of a drag race car that could and did win many car show trophies. The build was immaculate. Sometimes, it is hard to imagine that so clean a car could be run at the drags and still look like an AMBR candidate. We were fortunate enough to be able to see it in person at Riverside Raceway in 1959. It was a standout in the pits. Sorry, we did not get any action shots that day of this super roadster. But an Ardun Head show car with a centrifugal supercharger that races as well as it shows…very cool.

Check out those outstanding pipes…what more could anyone ask for from a major sponsor that is a muffler company?
