  4. Can anyone point me to posts/threads/articles/sources for converting an early V8 distributor for Banger applications?

    I was revisiting the '40's hot rod thread and saw a pic of a LIFE magazine cover with a kid in a roadster...had a V8 divers helmet distributor on top of a Banger! So coooooool!!

    Now that is something I have never seen
    I wonder if there would be any advantage
    did that distributor use vacuum advance

News Flash - not really that fantastic a pic....have a pic of the girls on the old tractor when it didn't run....the news is that LK my great niece - the tall one - took ALL my old car magazines and my niece - her mother - confirmed she likes car stuff....only down side is she's in OKC and I'm in Big D....so kinda hard for her to help me change my plugs....there is a pic of her with my 40 Deluxe when she was about 5 some where....

    copper is ez to work with & looks cool . I used on my steering shaft.... no column just shaft .
     
  26. Umm is it the angle? or is there a staircase in the middle of your garage door?
     
  27. Is this float:
    a) Usable as is?
    b) repairable?
    Doesn't look like you could pop it out bay heating it up, Would either have to take it apart and hammer/press it out with a spoon, or fill it wit something that is not affected by the gas?
