No pics handy, but I use my '55 Chevy daily, used it to move to a new house last month - loaded to the top of the cab and pulling a 16 foot trailer, hauled nearly a half ton of scrap metal off day before yesterday and had it loaded to the top of the bed rails with plywood last week - that had it hunkered down good...

I guess I've been overworking it lately though, the radiator blew out yesterday while I was on the way to drop off some wheels and tires at a friends place. Still had the original Harrison radiator in it.

OK here is a current pic of my new parts hauler. I am still headlights away from being legal. But we have had it on the road. thsi baby aint too fast but it will go pull whatever you found in a field out with little or no digging required.

i dont like saying it, but our truck is a work truck, i hate the rack, i hate the step bumper, and i hate the tie down spots because its no longer a project orhotrod, its a worktruck. that being said, its the best work truck in the history of ever.

 

still watering trees with the '48, put 200+ gallons over the rear axle & behind it, backed it down the ditch and made the front end hop a tad

Bought it in 92 for $600. Drove daily for 10 years in LA building film sets, hauling tools, lumber, motorcycles, bricks, drunk friends, cabinets.................wish I still had it.

(Oh, and it was maroon as maroon can be. Hated that color)

My 66 camper special only gets used when something needs hauling. I never take it out for just a ride.

not mine, gone/sold, belonged to an estate that had coupe and sedan too. The conv went for either $68,200 or $78,200? plus 10% buyers premium, and 6.+% sales tax. Too rich for me. This exact year/model/color was also the 1934 Indianapolis 500 pace car.

 

Gathering firewood for winter, hauling hay for the critters. 226 Super Hurricane mill and 5.38's will take it nearly anywhere...

 

I bought this truck in Albuquerque in 1989 for $400. It was pretty rough but totally rust free. I went through it all and had it painted and proceeded to drive the wheels off of it. It's hauled trash, rocks, wood, it's taken my family camping , I drove it to work every day for 12 years and when I moved back to Ohio from Albuquerque I made four trips with it pulling a trailer. I'm getting ready to redo the suspension and take care of a few problem areas on the body. It's been a work horse for sure.

 

I actually found a picture of it shortly after I got it painted. My son is 31 now and my daughter is 27.

 

Here's my daily 59 GMC. When these photos was taken, it was hauling the first load of parts for my recently purchased 41 Pontiac Streamliner project car, (also pictured).
