Thanks for all the great comments hamb friends.

Betty called me early today just to make sure I got the title. She's such a great lady. I reminded her when she and her son are ready to let me know and I will start listing some of their cars.

Here's another pic of the coupe. I like looking at it.

  9. Good to see you got at least one Kelsey wheel. Remember that the wire wheels need to run with mechanical brakes and the solid wheels need the hydraulic brake drums or YOU WILL NEED ADAPTERS/SPACERS.

Yep, I'm aware of the spacers and I have 4 more of the Kelseys. I will most likely use those when I build it.

Great find with excellent story! Congratulations!! Great car to build with your son.
Is the motor free to turn? Could be yard driving soon enough.

I was at the shop tonight and couldn't resist. Cleaned a spot on the cowl that looked like surface rust.
If the rest of the body cleans up this nice, I will be super stoked.

My wife said my dinner was getting cold. I'd still be over there right now otherwise.

It makes me uneasy that you call her an old lady since purchasing the car after being owned by her late husband for over 65 years. Or maybe I`m just feeling jelous.

I only called her old lady so some people wouldn't Google search her, she's not ready to be found yet. I'd call her by name otherwise. She's a sweet lady.

Excellent story and EPIC find! Good to see you did well by the widow! That's how I got my '31 Model A....Owner died, mutual friend contacted me (doing the same thing you're offering), and a deal was struck! For owners/owner's wives, knowing that the car won't be flipped speaks to their heart! It worked for me, too! Mine is still waiting in the wings, but its day will come....

What did you use to clean that patch of cowl? I'd like to try that on my '31 Tudor...

Are you two eluding to some rumor of a demise to our 32 hobby/life that I am not privy to?

  27. There's a thread on the main board that talks of the peak in the Deuce world and that prices may be coming down.
