So I scored another odd 32 coupe. This one is a 32 Dodge 3 window. She's a little rough but I have found a 4 door sedan for parts to fix everything but the rear quarters. I was hoping someone out there might have some scraps that will help put this back together. I would also like some photos of the rear so I have an idea what it looks like. Thanks in advance
@31Dodger That's not to odd, 31dodger is the resident expert here, and I'm sure he will have any relevant info.
Interesting, looks like it may have received a pick up bed conversion at one time. Good luck, keep us posted.
The rear quarters/trunk looks like it was cut for a pick up bed. WW2 to get rationed gas for commercial vehicles. I like the roof line Joe
Yeah, and the old farm/ranch trick of cutting skins from the body (pass door) whenever you happen to need a swatch of sheet metal to patch a tin roof, pen, etc. Looks like a great start. The 4 dr Sedan should help out the build. Did the Sedan come from the same lot?
Believe it or not, this car was in a wrecking yard here in Montana. I also scored a 33 Ford 4 door sedan at the same time.
Wow, great scores on the Dodge and Ford Sedans as well. That Dodge 4 dr. is in terrific shape. My vote would be to not sacrifice that for panels for the Coupe, but to save it for a build and keep looking for a decent cowl to use on the Coupe. There has to be a cowl or roached body around that could be used.
Thanks for the shots, gives me a great idea of what was supposed to be there. How rare are the 32s? You sure dont see many around
1,963 DL six cylinder business coupes, 1,815 DL six cylinder rumble seat coupes, 57 DK eight cylinder business coupes and 821 DK eight cylinder rumble seat coupes were made. Yours is a business coupe, but I cannot tell if it was the six or eight cylinder car. There should be a body tag on the firewall that says which model it is (DL or DK).
Wow...that is a nice score....I love them old Dodge's....just don't see them all that often...nice indeed!
I might have some pieces from a '33 Dodge coupe that would fill in what's missing on your coupe, not sure how much different they'd be, and it wouldn't be until spring, but let me know around May if you're still looking.
cool project, i love anything non ford............ you also get extra hamb points for getting both those cars on that trailer.
