One more trick is a switch to open the fields in your generator = less load less engine drag. Just don't forget to close it after running. Ask me how I know LOL

    Loadbang I should try that.
My Charger always ran quicker when it would throw the alt belt off.

Planning to make it this year, with my '62 Pontiac GP. I will be coming from Las Vegas, Nevada.
I need to do nothing the car is 100% ready, that is if I don't break it before then.

I picked a race with a Pontiac and yes I got beat in the lights. DSC_0528 resized.jpg Then I picked a race with another 62 Chevy and got beat. Man I need to do a better job of scouting out my races.

Jackson I am not sure I like the sound of that.
These 409 parts are hard enough to find now and with your track record they may be even harder to find.

Fast30coupe.... You bring up a good question. I think for 2016 we are going to put the folks who register and don't make it on the waiting list from the start. That way we aren't scrambling to pull people from the waiting list in in the last few weeks.

Stay tuned, we will communicate more as we get closer to opening registration.

    James

Your best chance would have been at the Fall Out Salty. Got my ass kicked by Bob twice in his white BB 1967
Ford Fairlane, even after he disconnected the secondaries on the two fours.
    ( Good thing Scott didn't see this ) :D

Old Tickety Boo just keeps getting slower and slower. ( Best run at the Fall Out was 11.75 @ 110 m.p.h. )
Down about 10 m.p.h. ( in way better air then the Meltdown ).

When Deer Hunting is over the plan is to do a leak down test, if it comes out ok
then new valve springs and possibly a new Cam. So don't get to comfy. :p

Thinking it could be a dead cylinder or weak valve springs. ( springs put in 2008 )

All ready DRAINED WATER AND PUT IN THE ANTIFREEZE, (A reminder for every one up north)
The first frost should be any day now.

I'm going to need a bigger trailer to get all my cars to the meltdown this year. I will be running the holy grail coupe, the Skairlane and now the t altered I just picked up.

Norb if your car keeps getting slower and slower you need to back up and think what you have done or missed.
I think a valve spring or springs should show up by the sound of the engine at high RPM.

Well Jeff , first you put the Scarelane on the old Blue Max Hauler you picked up then you put the coupe on the trailer behind it. Then you build the wife a street version of the scarelane out of the other 55 you picked up and let her tow the alter behind that!!! Have I missed anything???? Better slow down or you will end up like me ! To many projects and not enough time!!!! LOL Larry

  24. Yea I know luckily the altered isn't much of a project. I'm just going to freshen up the motor and put it back in and run it. The car is still all together just needs a starter and carbs. The ramp truck was going to be my next project but I'm not sure it will even clear my garage door so I gotta figure something else out.

I don't even live up north and my water heater split itself open yesterday while I was at work and puked all over the garage. Thankfully a neighbor saw the water running out from under the garage door and shut the water off so it didn't run another 6 or 7 hours until I got home. The only casualties were some cardboard boxes.

Got down in the 30s here last night but the forecast for the weekend looks good for maybe the last race for the year for us.

2016 was a great time, Anthony enjoyed his first trip to the Meltdowns and was able to help Dave out with the Scout and he also made a new friend named Ireland, going to Sam's Drive Inn was one of the coolest thing's I have done with the Falcon because I never had it on the street and of course Joel added to the excitement. 2017 is going to be great and Joel will have Henry J out and just please please keep the minibikes away from him. LOL

Good news!!! The BelAir is still running after the weekend.
Sad news is looks like it may be time to put it up for the winter.
Another time slip for Bob to drool over. 20161016_134110.jpg
