It's funny you say that...there was a spectator at Rock Falls who came up to me to talk to me...he told me that he ready all 127 pages of this thread and loved it...and he wanted to know..."Did I beat that Mustang"....telling him the story was more enjoyable than beating Scott!

I am going to start a 2017 thread...we are only 282 days away...we need to start getting ready!

It was good to meet you also. You guys gave me such a bug to get behind the wheel that I borrowed a friends Nova for Sunday and ran it for the day! I ran the best of a 12.48 @ 107 not setting any speed records but it sure did feel good! I should have the pics to ya early next week.

Is your dream car a 1963 LeMans????? From Colorado???? By the way, there's a 62 Tempest down in the Peoria area. Complete, right down to the hubcaps.

 

No hadn't heard back on the '63 Lemans so I figured it was a loss cause. In fact I might be done with drag racing all together if things work out.

I just seen a mirage......it looked like Scott!!!

 

Got a lead on a '30 Ford coupe that I been in love with for 2 years now. At this point in life I feel I'd get more use out of the coupe than the Falcon. Right now my 1927 Ford roadster hot rod, my 1996 GMC Z71 Offroad pickup with under 19,000 miles and the Falcon are on Craigslist right now. I hope I can get something sold before the coupe goes.

 

...hope you snag that coupe, you'll love drivin it more than a 1/4 mile at a time...
