I finally got some time to unearth one of my bangers last month. After more then a year in hibernation, she is back on the road and as spry as ever.

    Bluto-great photos, spot on car.
Looks like an IMCA Oldtimers sticker on the cowl, just there or did the car come from this side of the pond?
    What is the third member?
Explain please the starter with a chain dive?

Drove a beautiful Dreyer with DO Hal, Winfield carbureted back about 15 years at a Vintage meet in Michigan. Looking for the pictures.

Dirt dragging at Chopped ( Newstead, Australia) last weekend. Ignition got crumbly at revs, unfortunately. Better look at the coil or put that Wico in.

Sitting on the (almost exact!) opposite side of the globe, can you by any chance tell me, how well did the coupe with the four carbs actually run?

What part of "The car and I are American." didn't you understand?

IMCA sticker..... you a AAA guy?

    Diff is Miller

Starter is so an old guy with a bad heart (me) doesn't have to push it to listen to it bark. I posted it here before

If you'll recall this all started with a post saying all the good stuff was in Europe. Guys there are wonderful things here
but Hot rodding, Dirt track racing, are American things. Most items in the world started life in the USA.

Winfields? ... Only thing I got is this from my late friend.

Yes! It's real ........ but I wouldn't bother looking for one It's also rather rare. Winfield only had a small number made. Like many things there are replicas. Mine is Mark Dees' ..... It's in my workshop I see it every day.

Dannerr, that four carbed coupe goes like a rocket. It belongs to a fellow called Travis Constantine. It has a B head, early Malory dizzy. I'll let you guess how many carbs it actually uses. I don't want to spoil the fun

Saved $4700 yesterday after having my current banger inspected by a pro engine builder! Seems the only issue was some missing cotter pins on the rod bolts and a slipping clutch. Having the flywheel ground and installing a new clutch and V8 pressure plate. I was using a Harry Fryer '32-'36 V8 water pump that finally wore out. New one from Dennis Carpenter was made in China. This engine was built in 19990 and over the past five years I've done the dirt drags, hill climbs and a couple of Speedster Reunions. Also replaced the front kingpins, brake drums and switched over to Armstrong hydraulic shocks from the rear of a an MG Midget. I have a new set of ARP studs and stainless acorn nuts on order. With a single 97, this engine put out 60 HP at the rear wheels last year. Be interesting to see what the numbers are with the Weber 32/36 carb. Should be back on the road next spring.
