    Great project

  4. Plans for the Coupe thus far...
'32 rails with a '37 ford center cross member
    3 1/2" chop
    283 w/ 3 holley 94's
    700r4
'48 ford column with the shift linkage converted for use with the 700r4
    8 inch rear end
16" steel wheels with big n littles
    Very little chrome
black frame with painted body (maybe maroon)

Motivation...My roadster is lonely and my little boy will have a bit more of an active roll.

  5. looks like a great start , `30 coupe body on a `32 frame has become very popular

Great project and base to start with!
Mine is, uh, not quite that nice;-)
My son is supposed to be participating in the build as it was going to be his first car. Needless to say, he has zero patience.....

  7. Minor update: I got the frame all squared in the frame table. I will be putting in the front and rear cross members and boxing over the next week or so.

I'm not seeing any of your photos. All of us that have used Photobucket in the past have had major issues, as they now want us to pay to use their service. Any linked photos, as you have above, no longer will show up for others to see. You can upload photos directly to each post here on the HAMB, fortunately.

  13. Long overdue post on progress of the '31 coupe build:
    1. Patch panels installed (right and left lower cowl, passenger lower quarter, lower drivers door, and both wheel wells
    2. Body has been media blasted and coated in epoxy primer
    3. Body fitted to the frame. Rear sub-rails cut out for the '32 frame kick up and replaced with a steadfast mfg. kit.
    4. Floors fabricated for the car out of 16 gauge cold rolled sheet metal
    5. Installed new deck lid and lower panel
    6. Measured for the 4 inch chop
    7. Chopped the car....
