  3. I recall seeing these car carriers with FULLY TARP COVERED new cars, in the month of September, at new car announcement time.
Hiding new cars, until the formal new car announcement date, was a big deal, way back in the '50's.

That bottom pic with the load of T-birds... gotta admit that truck turns my crank, but then I really dig old big trucks. Obviously an aftermarket cab over conversion instead of the factory built cab forward. I like the windows in the panel they replaced the firewall with, function was a priority over form for sure. I want one!

  8. As I have said in the past but I will say it again, with 1034121 members it is impossible to come up with fresh on topic material that hasn't been repeated numerous times.

I went back a viewed the 4 threads and noticed I had not commuted on any of the threads which leads me to believe that apparently I missed them.

I appreciate you taking the time to list the previous "Car Carrier" post and my faux pas. HRP

Our little one stop-sign town didn't see much truck transport traffic. But, Penn-Central had a mainline right smack-dab through the middle of it. We saw a lot of this:

There was a country store right by the tracks. We'd sit on the bench outside, swig on a cold pop, and wait for the next car show to come by. :D
