Texas sure had more then their share of great old drag strips back in the day.

Green Valley was one of them.

I came across the snuff box on facebook from a friend and i thought it was pretty cool looking. I thought itd be cool to learn about this car along with the previous generation of racers in dgw area. I heard from my grandfather about the day he crashed it at yello belly and a little about the race team. Thanks for correcting me on that, it was labeled on facebook as '36 ford' is it ok if i message you so i can hear more about the car? I'd really appreciate it.

If you're on FaceBook, there is quite a bit about the Snuff Box Racing team on the Green Valley Raceway page. There was a post with the 37 and their Vega this morning.

  17. Wonder if that's the same 37 Chevy over at Top to Bottom.....the old guy still has his old Model A he put together along with his mom's early Cuda....dropped a tail light off awhile back....the shop's off of MLK and Lamar over by the Fair...the 37 was getting a new motor and was in primer the last time I stopped by - if it's the same guys...
