My father and I are planning a cruise/reliability run for Saturday October 15th to the Fagen Fighters WW2 war bird Musuem http://www.fagenfighterswwiimuseum.org/ . The start/end point will be the Cologne MN Community center just off of Hwy 212 in Cologne, 1211 Village Pkwy, Cologne, MN 55322 We plan to roll out at 8:30am and heading out on MN HWY 19 with a stop at Gaylord MN to pick up any cruisers from the southern MN - Mankato area. Cruise out 19 and along the MN river from by Redwood Falls heading to Granite Falls to tour the Museum and grounds. I have been there before and it is well worth the trip!!! They are open from 10-4 and we plan to head back to Cologne at 3:30ish and take 212 back to cologne. There are many restaurants in Granite Falls for lunch and a Casino just down the road also. There are a few of us that are going to picnic it. This is rain or shine event and route maps will be available at the start in Cologne and in Gaylord. This is open to all cars/people traditional or not! Just a fun day with like minded people checking out some amazing history and cars!!! FYI they do ask for a $10 donation to help with musuem expenses. Below are 2 of the many cool planes they have there!

    Thanks Tim

TerrytheK This was the only day that worked for my father and I to make it for for both of us and also it is a huge bonus that my Nephew is down that weekend for Perham so he can ride with and stir up the car gene in him...

Remember this is open to all cars....... Like minded people having fun!!!

  7. My daughter is coming in that day and work won't let me off. I checked the calendar and they are closed on my days off. Guess it'll have to be a vacation day to see it.

You'll be driving right by the house! To bad, we'll be in Louisiana, going to the Bayou Round Up and then over to Texas to visit some old friends before heading back to Mn. Have fun on your run!!

We are going to roll out of cologne by 8:45 at the latest. Plan to be in Gaylord by 9:15-9:30 ish Depends how big it gets. Right now it is looking like around 20ish cars so far.... I hope it gets bigger.... there may be a reward if we get a big enough crowd at the Museum.... I will pull in to give maps to whoever in Gaylord wants one and have the tour keep rolling through town. My father will lead us out and I will tail gun so if anybody has trouble we get them taken care of!!!

Let's meet in the AgriFleet parking lot if that works.

I hope we get good weather!!!

If guys from the New Ulm area would rather meet in Winthrop speak up and we can work out a place to stop.

We don't plan to pull in all the cars along the way. I will pull in and give anybody a map that wants one. I will also post my contact info on here before the cruise if you need any help.

I hear you. A guy I used to work with always said if you don't have scheduling conflicts then you aren't keeping busy enough. And yes, get your nephew stirred up!
Even though I can't make this one, I'll do what I can to spread the word. It'll be a fun day.

Well, I can tell you from personal experience that nobody will run you off if you show up in a daily driver. You might not be able to park with all the cool kids, but you'll at least be there to enjoy it!

This is what the plan is for the weekend. for the guys meeting in Gaylord, I will pull in the Agrifleet parking lot if anybody has any questions or you can just pull out in line at any time. The start point will be the Cologne MN Community Center just South of Hwy 212 on Cty 53 in Cologne. The address is 1211 Village Pkwy, Cologne, MN 55322. Meet there at 8:00 am and we will be leaving there at 8:30 am.
We will travel South on Cty 53 to a stop sign for MN Hwy 25. Roughly 8 miles.
Travel West on Hwy 25 to the stop sign for MN Hwy 5 in Green Isle. Roughly 12 miles.
Travel South West on Hwy 5 to Gaylord where 5 and Hwy 19 Merge. Continue West on Hwy 19 to West of Redwood Falls and the turn off for MN 67. Roughly 74.5 miles.
Travel North on MN 67 to the stop sign for MN 23. Roughly 22 miles.
Travel Southwest on MN 23 to the turn off for Cty 39. Roughly 3.5 miles.
Travel South on Cty 39 to the Museum. Roughly 1 mile.

We will leave from the Museum at 3:30 pm sharp.
We will travel back on Hwy 23 to the intersection on Hsy 212. Roughly 4.5 miles.
Travel East on 212 back to the Cologne area. Roughy 89 miles.

Some plan on eating a picnic type lunch at the Museum, myself included. If you want to do this be sure to bring chairs etc. There are a few picnic tables there and in the event of rain they will have a area indoors for us to hang out. There are a few places to eat in Granite and at the local Casino depending on what you're looking for. See the Warbird website for info, http://www.fagenfighterswwiimuseum.org/

There are a few people myself included that are planning on stopping at UnHinged Pizza in Glencoe on the way back for dinner. All are welcome to stop in for dinner if you would like. It is just off of Hwy 212 on the southeast side of town, formerly Pizza Ranch.

If you have car trouble our cellphone numbers are below. Will do our best to help. My Father Jim will be leading the group and I will be bringing up the rear.

I will be driving my white 1970 International Travelall so please help me put faces with names.

Hope to see a few of you this saturday. Weather is looking good for a nice fall cruise!!!

    Thanks in advance Tim

    Tim,
I think we'll plan on meeting up in the megalopolis of Winthrop. There's an industrial park on the west side of the 15/19 intersection. What time will you be rolling through?
@scoop do you want to want meet up in New Ulm?
@T Hudson will be riding along with me.
I think my Dad may bring his 40 up.....and we'll see if we can get a few more guys together.

I would think around 9 to 9:15 we should be in Winthrop. Depending on Traffic... LOL

If you want pm me your cell number or give me a shout around 9 if you have not started seeing cars roll through.

It should be a nice drive. My father Jim will be leading with a white 65 Chevy Belair 2 door sedan and about 20ish cars in line hopefully.
