Only by two inches, but the wrecker wasn't so lucky when pulling it out.

  2. I went to the Hospital to see my new Grandson. I took him his first toy, a 1928 Buddy L truck . I made a modified bed insert so he would fit in it. Another little Hot Rodder in our 005.jpg family.

I made 6 runs at the hot rod hill climb.

7 if you count the parade run with everyone in the beginning. This pic was on the return road.

Congrats! Just be careful not to give him his first dump truck ride, he looks a little toward the back. Sorry, I love kids but I get maybe a little overly cautious when it comes to babies. He may see this pic someday and laugh thinking the same thing:D

Toe kicked a Ford cylinder head I was using as a door stop in the dark. Barefoot. Exorcised my cuss word vocabulary.

I always use chevy heads as doorstops. I save ford heads for marine use...:p

Got back in the garage for the first time today after being out of town for 3 weeks dealing with an unpleasant family issue. Nice to be back in the home garage.
Not enough progress to update my build thread, but I worked on the brake/clutch pedal install on the T while my dad worked on the radiator/grill mounting.
Also got a patch for the dash on the '36 pickup made, should be able to weld and metal finish that tomorrow.

Well, Yesterday I finished replacing the head gasket on my OT commuter car, Fixed my father-in-laws chain saw, took my son to get some new motor-cross boots for his 12th birthday present, met my Dad for coffee and then my parents came over for dinner and my old man and I got a little tipsy while we discussed the engine swap on my Tudor.
This morning I am sitting with my daughter watching Tangled, sipping coffee and surfing the HAMB. My wife just suggested we take the Tudor out for a cruise as the rain stopped and the sun has come out.
    Life is good.

What did I do today? I tore the ligaments out in my arm so tomorrow I get to let the doc cut on me. That's not how I planed the week last night. One false move and you are fucked. JC

  19. Well good luck on the visit with the doc. I am still healing up from a shoulder surgery I had had in February. I feel better than I did before the surgery but I am still not up to par. ;)

Replaced some bad metal on my 41. Pretty soon I won't be able to guide the truck home with the yellow lines under my floor boards when I drive. Plus driving on rainy days means I won't get mud slung up all over my suit! Patch fit 2.JPG

Spent about an hour yesterday chatting with the owner of this yellow highboy. He's planning a flathead powered A on deuce rails, chopped and channeled, with wide whites on chromed reversed steel wheels.
