Bought this as a roller, built an aluminum body for it and added some hop up parts.

No, I just used the app "Snapseed" on my iPad. Just two clicks, one to change the pic to B/W and another click to Drama and this is the result :)

  22. To the best of my knowledge no one makes an adapter to mate a 4 cylinder Chevy II to a Model A transmission. I have had a 4 cylinder Chevy II (actually a 181 Mercruiser engine) in my Avatar since the seventies and also have a Model A so I would have probably noticed. Since mine is a ’32 I was able to use a standard adapter designed to adapt a SBC to an early Ford transmission. The Model A unfortunately is a whole different story. They used to (and maybe still do) make an adapter to mate a Ford Pinto 4 cylinder to the stock Model A transmission. I was never very impressed with this conversion. You should be able to find information here and in the fordbarn archives on the Pinto conversion. I would leave the original engine and transmission in the Model A (and maybe add a littlel speed equipment) but if I was forced to make the conversion I would use a standard speed shop adapter to mate the Chevy II (I would recommend the 181 GM Industrial engine) to the early Ford V8 (’32-’39) transmission. Then I would make brackets for the motor mounts, wishbone, pedals and rear transmission mount. Definitely doable but just not as easy of a conversion as the ’32. It is nice to do a conversion where you have too much room between the fan and the radiator.

    su carbs.jpg
Engine in my avatar. with fully synchronized 3 speed and overdrive. Engine has a New, not reground B cam, 7.1 head, electronic ignition, Model B type front engine mount, alternator, timing strip for timing light, stainless steel manifold and the best carburetors ever made, the SU. Air cleaners are off so you can see the carbs. Car has self energizing, self adjusting brakes, dropped axle, 16" radials, dropped trunk floor and a heater.
I will race you and I will win, because I can shift so fast

IMG_5075.JPG There is some serious Banger Hot Rod Porn here. Thanks for the pics and the motivation guys. Heres a recent shot of my car. No engine shot, just a stock banger, but so much fun to drive.
