Here is one of mine, we too were a big deal when I was still at it. Now we are trying to revive it. I also have a Keeper's of the flame plaque on my bumper. I will post as soon as I can

  6. Your Rod Aces plaque is actually a stock plaque that was sold by J.C. Whitney. They had a line of generic stock plaques in their catalog back in the day. They sold for $4 new, so I guess $2 is a pretty good deal. :)

Here's the advertisement for them. It's from around 1958 or so. I guess they were only $3, not $4.

  10. The guys in North Atlanta hosted a great show and the night time activity's were the best, the set up the conference room at the hotel as a casino with Black Jack and a roulette wheel and other games of chance and we played for tickets,at the end of the night the tickets were tokens for door prizes and these guys didn't have cheap door prizes, gold rings, diamonds were the high dollar prizes and some other nice stuff.

Sunday awards were amazing with big cash prizes,TV's,guitars, more jewelry and of course Julian Pappa's favorite door prize,a case of oil to help get the Chevy guys home!.:D HRP

  13. This was cast in 1956 by my dad who made 6 or 8 of these for the guys in his car club in Pewaukee Wisconsin. They hung out at Chic Stulmans dads gas station on Edgewood Ave. in Pewaukee. As far as I know this is the only one left and it has been on every one of his or my cars since 1956. It has been repainted several times over the years. It is my Holy Grail so to speak. Very near and dear to only me. I sold my roadster so I don't have a car worthy of it ( at the moment ). But it hangs on the wall in my garage waiting for the chance to grace another. int. edgewood.jpg

Here's my jacket and 3 San Diego Roadster Club plaques (SDRC-SCTA) image.jpeg . Not saying rare but the bottom one is bronze and obviously the two others are different. A member since 1981.
