I haven't been on here much lately and just saw this. Prayers to Ron and the girls. It seems everyone is in too much of a hurry these days to pay attention to what is going on around them. I'm just praying for a speedy recovery for everyone with no longer lasting situations.

  8. May they have a speedy recovery.

  9. Glad to hear the grandkids are home and doing better.
    Prayers going up for Ron.
My granddaughter loves riding in my old car as well. This stuff really brings home how aware of your surroundings we have to be when driving ANY of our rides. When my granddaughter is with me ...I am down right paranoid, looking for somebody to do something dumb.

Reporters are usually between 22 and 34 years of age, schooled in the 'politically correct' vein, and oblivious to any 'roadster, coupe, or touring' designation. Their world is comprised of Hybrids, electric, and green cars, and as their familiarity with such, is slated for 'Front Wheel Drive'.
What else do they have to know?

Late edit: Deeply saddened by Ron's passing. Just out for 'a little ride'.
I have been picking up my 3 grandchildren daily from school, (they're 2, 5, and 6.)
Wife's O.T. BMW and those 3 in car seats, safe? NOT!
We are at the mercy of idiot drivers, and I'm constantly super-aware, even when operating the 'Ultimate Driving Machine'!

Grandchildren want to ride in my tub... ('27 T Touring)
Looking at Ron's '32 roadster, I'm leery. Godspeed, Ron.

  25. What a terrible shock to lose such a great guy like Ron to a moments inattention and stupidity by another driver. Godspeed my friend.

so sorry about a grandpa wanting to share his hobby with his grand kids and it has to end like this.

  28. I understand what you guys are saying,I picked up my youngest granddaughter Veda up at school today in my deuce sedan.

It is heartbreaking that we lost yet another Hamber this week but thank the Good Lord Ron's grandchildren survived the accident and I know he would be happy to know that. HRP
