That thing is REALLY something isn't it! I am really glad to see the late sixties survivours getting some respect.
This was one of the first cars I saw, the showroom can get crowded later and its hard to take photos, so this time I headed in there right away. I saw this car when it was "new" at a PNE show in the late sixties, so I was BLOWN AWAY to see it!

Jimmy Flett built that Car I believe with his Dad,(It is a Glass Car) it was a Tribute to his Father.
Jim is a great person and has some amazing Cars in his collection,
Fedwoman rode in his 48? Buick Convertible on our Wedding Day.
Some pretty cool rides have come out of "Jimmy's Rod Shop"

Seriously, that T Bucket is a prime example of the T Buckets I first fell in love with and desired. If I had been there, I would have spent the whole day walking around that one car.

And I did save the pics.

That red 28/29 pickup is quite tasty, bet it is a real knockout in person.
    Edit
The red crackercab truck that is.
The red 28/29 RPU is nice too.
    Thanks George.
    PS, welcome home.

yes, for sure, they did the paint on the re-creation of Richenburgs '29 RP, just to name one.
ocean park 2013 053.jpg I didn't know that, I was at his place a couple years ago, and he had a '36 roadster there in bare metal, I thought this was that one. It was good to see him, I haven't seen him at as many events the last few years since his stroke.

I am supposed to take some parts, but I still haven't dug them out yet. We are out of here at 6am, and I have to give my kid a shower tonight, guess I'd better get'er done!

I don't suppose there are many swap meets in Viet Nam, at least not vintage autos.
And you thought it was tuff getting that T body home!

  14. Thanks George, great coverage, and good to see you again.
Will look for you tomorrow at the Swap Meet.

[IMG]I spotted this in the background of the shot of the black 30/31 Sport coupe, and thought 'but what about the channeled roadster?!' But, my appetite was satiated in the next post. Thanks for that.

Brad, if you want FULL saturation with this car, go to my profile page, and go into the album "Deuce Days 2016, there are about 8-9 photos of it, engine, interior, full on side, 3/4 front/rear, ect.

Great coverage Falcongeorge. It was good to finally meet you as well!! Yes I'm quite fortunate, my daughter really enjoys the car shows, although she prefers the weekend ones to the day events just based on activities. But she also enjoys walking around and looking at them with me. My wife is also on board. I must've done something right cause my wife has given the green light for my deuce roadster build! :)

great pictures, thanks for posting! Looks like a hell of a show.

  21. Great pictures. as you can see, I am partial to channeled roadsters.

  22. Most of that car was painted about 30 or more years ago. I painted the fenders for it last year but he brought his own paint for me to use. I think it just said light green on the can.

  23. Yup. More power. I'm hoping for about 200HP, double the HP of the car now. Should make the car way nicer to drive. The original drive train is getting a little tired. I don't think the motor has ever been out of the car.

  24. My buddy's 46 Ford Convertible is for sale if anyone is interested. PM me for details.

  25. I think he's had that car since the 60's when it really was a street car. Best pass this year was 8.57 @ 155mph.

I couldn't find the owner of this Biscayne. I think it may have been my neighbors car years ago in North Vancouver. Neat car. IMG_2413 (1024x653).jpg

I sold my extra Desoto hemi valve covers to Rapidwhippet, so that should placate "she who must be obeyed" for a little while...At least until she sees all the crap I came home with...:D
