  1. Yes you can take the stub to the post office and they can check to see if it has been cashed off the serial number. I don't know how you go about getting your money back. But cashing a postal money order and not providing the the product or services is considered mail fraud.

Where did you find that website? I tried it without the number and it didn't work. I run my own business and would LOVE to be able to track down the addresses for different phone numbers...bad checks, don't you know...

I used to keep "spare lifters" in a leather pouch. Socks seem to rip if you "accidentally" bump something.

Being as I was and still am, career miltary, when ever I caught a troop scrawling "FTA", I always tried to make it easier for the jack off to get out of the army on my terms. But never with out a few push up's along the way and I never got tired...

Falcon George, not exactly a cop but I'm retired from the Federal Aviation Administration and have been involved with numerous enforcement cases. After a while you quickly learn when someones BSing you. If the guy won't send the parts why would he send a money order? This is not Goucher's first rodeo.

I was a Commercial Insurance broker for 20 years, looking across the desk at someone and reading them was literally how I earned my living, and I was ok at it. Its easy to become really negative and cynical in a line of work like that, but you gotta realize, most people really aren't out to screw everyone, sometimes they just @#$% up. Lets wait and see if the MO shows up in the next 15 days.

  22. I don't believe we're talking about Mr. Goucher here, that's a whole different thread.

I had trouble with a guy last winter. Bought a model A body from him. Sent USPS money order for $1,000.00. He was shipping it air freight because he had connections. Never happened. I called the police in Ohio where he lived, they said that they couldn't help me. I called the DA's office and was told the same thing. I filed a report on line and through a phone call to the U.S. Post Office and they charged him with fraud. I finally started emailing him constantly, one after the other, jammed up his e-mail. Then I spent a morning calling and leaving phone messages one right after the other, about an hour or two's worth of messages. I was hoping that I would drive his wife nuts and she would pressure him. It worked. I think the Post Office also contacted him and put some heat on. After three months I finally got my money back. The guys is banned from the H.A.M.B. but shows up under another name sometimes. He lives on the border of Ohio and Kentucky. Good luck! jk
